Born and bred in Bristol, 19 year-old Mitch Hewer is fast-becoming one of the U.K.'s most popular young actors. He is undoubtedly best known for his role as Maxxie Oliver, an out-and-proud gay character in the E4 teen drama Skins. When his character was written-out of the series as the end of the second season Mitch returned to Bristol and enrolled in SWADA, the prestigious drama school where he is currently studying.

Although he's busy with his studies, he still has found time to do a number of appearances on U.K. television and pose for several important magazines, including the British gay zine Attitude where he was featured in an article on "gays on TV." Perhaps his most memorable modelling appearance however was in an issue of Cosmo in which he appeared naked in aid of testicular cancer. On a website dedicated to Skins, it was revealed that, although his character on the show is gay, Mitch is not.
